How-to-kill-a Yian Kut ku

A little bored. . . I reckon a little hunting would do me good, to sharpen my skills and test out my new love, the tachi/katana. Hmmm I how about to spice things up a little...yes! Lets hunt for a kutku. . . naked! Muahahhahaaha great!! that will be a challenge indeed.



Right, So there. I removed all my armours, and selected my all time favourite Blade.The Devil Slicer!! yes, my trusty companion that slew many gold ians & silver los. Now it has evolve into a katana class. Sweeeeet~! Though I should use ICE element against the hot-breathed kutkus...

now lets pick a quest... ahhhh how about this one. This should be interesting, kill or capture not one but 2 kutkus. Set! nothing like the odds stacked against you. Kay lets go~!!



The fight is in the misty swamp, couldn't tell whether its night or day as the sun hardly shines in this parts, and its dark & gloomy all year round. I didn't have to travel far, when I saw a shadow descending down at a distance. Ahhh a blue kutku spiecies. . . I draw out DevilSlicer & it was time to dance baby. :D


As always Kutkus will always do the scratching thing, and raise those big fan like ears before trying to peck you to death. This ALSO means that you can land 2-3 free hits on it before it moves.

As usual I go for the vital areas and strike hard... That includes the HEAD, Wings and Tail. By hitting repetitively at these area, one can make him flinch indefinitely.

Not long after a series of brutal slicing & dicing, it fell. . .
Phew, and just in the nick of time too. Just moments later, the red kutku touched down, and it doesn't seem too pleased with me killing off his cousin. XD



Round 2

Right now that we are even, I'm gonna use my wild card, Demondrug!! hehehe that should help even up the odds. I quickly down that bottle while its still doing the scratching ritual.

Well general rule of thumb, always stick to the left (your right) side of Kutku to avoid getting flung around by its tail. Then proceed to whack away at the wings . Once every now and then go for the head if possible, it will be tricky as kutkus are notorious for charging at will without any notice. So don't be greedy, do a 1~2 hit and roll away.
Kutku will rip any hunter apart if you let it, I can't even begin to emphasize don't even stand near the wall, else once u get cornered, be prepare to meet your maker, as it will continuously charge/tail swing at you till you drop dead.


After awhile those big fan-like ears will wither down, this means its about to become worm food, it also means that its ready to become your pet, just bring out the stun trap and tranq bombs!

But alas, I TAKE NO PRISONERS.

myahaha to me "A good Kutku is a DEAD Kutku..."

This Kutku is exhausted so I shall do it a favour and put it into eternal sleep...with a tab on the R button i unleash the charged attack...

BLAM~~!!!! It squeal and shriek in pain as I swing my blade across it, slicing through its webbing like butter on a smoldering hot knife. Blood came gushing out from the open wound like a geyser and with that the huge armoured chicken fell to the earth. Victory was mine.

Wow that was fun... and I hardly break a sweat. . . so whats the moral of the story??!
Well the best weapon in this entire game is not the ZOMG200000per-hi-L33T dmg Sword.

Its knowledge. Use it well.
